December dates in the Forth Valley
The San Quentin gets the month off to a great start with a return visit from Route 65. Maureen & The Boys visit Polmont Golf Club in Maddison on Friday,December 2nd.
The Prairie Star at Weirs Club ,Alloa have Lemon Grass playing for their Christmas party on Saturday 10th.
The night before is going to be a busy one. Reunion will be playing for the Brightons' Linedancers @The British Legion, Steve James is at The Blackburn CMC, and The Bootleggers at Bannockburn Miners have a visit from Billy Bubba King.
Billy's sidekick Gemma Fairweather visits The No Angels club at Bo'ness Town Hall the following Friday (16th).

CMA Award winners
How do his record label bosses explain this one?
Keith Urban, whose UK label actively promoted him as a Non-Country artist, took home the big prize at Tuesday night's CMA Awards, claiming the Entertainer of the Year trophy. He also won the the Male Vocalist of the Year award, and the International Achievement award.
The much more Country Gretchen Wilson won Female Vocalist of the Year.
Despite her recent recordings failling at radio, and on the charts, Lee Ann Womack took home three awards: Single of the Year ("I May Hate Myself In The Morning"), Album of the Year (There's More Where That Came From) and Music Event for her duet with George Strait ("Good News, Bad News").
Dierks Bently, the Grand Ole Opry's newest member, who will be in Glasgow in January, won the Horizon award.
Show hosts Brooks & Dunn won Vocal Duo of the Year (again !), Rascal Flatts took Vocal Group of the Year honors; Song of the Year was "Whiskey Lullaby," written by Bill Anderson & Jon Randall (a hit for Brad Paisley and Alison Krauss).
We'll see the highlights, including Dolly Parton dueting with Elton John on BBC2 this Saturday night.

CMA Awards in NYC
The CMA Awards are being held in New York next week.
Here in Britain, BBC TWO will broadcast an edited version of “The 39th Annual CMA Awards” on 19th November at 7:45-8:50PM and then a longer version later that evening at 12:25AM-2:00AM.
BBC Radio 2 will broadcast the event live from New York with presenter Nick Barraclough. Earlier in the evening “Country Comes to Town,” a documentary featuring events leading up to the CMA Awards know as “Country Takes NYC,” will be broadcast at 8:30PM. The following evening in his regular weekly BBC Radio 2 programme Barraclough will present highlights from the gala night.
And on 3C's Digital Daybreak on Wednesday morning, 16 November, 6 to 10 am UK time, Pat Geary will be broadcasting from New York City with all the winners and losers plus backstage gossip from the CMA Awards!

Remembering Johnny Loughrey
I&B Records have just released the final album from popular Irish Country singer, Johnny Loughrey, who died of cancer in April of this year.
The album, recorded late last year, features 14 tracks, including Marty Robbins "You Gave Me A Mountain", Harlan Howard's "Life Turned Her That Way" and Isla Grant's "Keeper Of My Heart". The album also features two self penned trtacks, including "Dont Give Up On Me Lord", which Johnny wrote whilst battling cancer.
The album title is "Altogether Now".
