Hotdisc Best Of British

For the tenth year the Best Of British & Irish Country album is released this week. The project, which began in 1999, features songs from British and Irish acts which have all gained exposure in the past year on radio throughout Europe, and the artists on the album feature a mixture of acts who have been on the scene for a long time and new names appearing for the first time.
The album will cost £9.99 and is available direct from Hotdisc (and we'll throw in an extra 4 CDs for free). Jackie Storrar for Carnegie Hall

Fife based singer songriter and radio presenter Jackie Storrar is "In Concert" with her 5 piece band at Carnegie Hall, Dunfermline on February 5th. Jackie, who sites among her influences The Eagles, The Carpenters & Shania Twain, will be performing songs from her varied repertoire including hits from her latest album "Cross The Border".
Having spent much of the last 10 years playing to audiences in 42 different countries around the world, Jackie is delighted to be performing for her home crowd. "I grew up watching all the big stars coming to Carnegie Hall, so for me this is one of my childhood dreams come true," says Jackie.

New Year dates in Forth Valley

Start of the new year by supporting your local Country music club. In the Forth Valley, that means, The Prairie Star, in Alloa who bring Nebraska to the club on Saturday 3rd. and the San Quentin in Maddison, who meet on Friday 9th with Jolene & Barry.
The No Angels welcome Calico to Grangemouth Town Hall on the 23rd.
The Polmont Linedancers round off the month back in Maddison on the 30th, with a visit from Carson City.
