Scotland's AM commercial stations have merged into one "Greatest Hits" network, eliminating all local programming, except news and traffic bulletins. The move has seen the retiring of Dick Barrie from Radio Forth, Tommy Truesdale at Westsound, and Radio Tay's Ken MacLeod, who have all decades of broadcast experience.
But the new network will be offering 5 hours of Country music each week across two different programmes.
Helen MacPherson, who has presented Moray Firth Radio's "Kinda Country" since the station launched over 30 years ago, will now be heard across the Scottish AM network on wednesday nights 7-10pm.
Then on Saturday nights, Jim Symon will host a Country Countdown on Saturday nights 8-10pm.
